2010 Ride For Missing Children/Buffalo – Training Ride Schedule What Is A Training Ride?
This is an opportunity to meet fellow cyclists and learn some basics that will help when riding in a 2 wide peloton. As a team we point out upcoming safety concerns such as pot holes, railroad tracks and caution or "slowing". Each ride we have two experienced riders to separate riders by level of experience allowing everyone to relax and simply enjoy the ride. Although riders will gain fitness during these rides this is only the foundation and other training is recommended. The early rides start off at approximately 20 miles and graduate to 30-35 miles as we get closer to the ride. This is not a race but a team building training ride. All new riders (45 or 100 mile route) are required to attend a minimum of (2) training rides and all riders must be certified by one of the trainers.
