What is an Orientation Ride?
This is an opportunity to meet fellow cyclists and learn some basics that will help when riding in a 2 wide peloton. As a team we point out upcoming safety concerns such as pot holes, railroad tracks and caution or “slowing”. Each ride we have two experienced riders to separate riders by level of experience allowing everyone to relax and simply enjoy the ride. Although riders will gain fitness during these rides this is only the foundation and other training is recommended. The early rides start off at approximately 20 miles and graduate to 30-35 miles as we get closer to the ride. This is not a race but a team building training ride.
All new riders are required to attend a minimum of four (4) Orientation Rides and all riders must be certified by one of the trainers.

Orientation Rides are to help you learn to ride 2 X 2 as a group, not intended to be fitness rides. Please give yourself enough time in the saddle to be ready for 100 miles on May 20th.
